Commissioning Manager in UK

Job Title: Senior Commissioning Manager Adult LD & Autism Supported Living

Contract Length: 3-6 month initial interim contract

Location: North West of England Council

Working arrangements: Full-time, 3 days a week on-site (non-negotiable)

Pay rate: £500 per day

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

I am currently working with a North West of England based local authority in their search for an experienced Social Care Commissioning professional for 3-6 month contract to lead on commissioning priorities relating to adult Learning Disabilities & Autism Supported Living.

Your duties as a Senior Commissioner:

• Working with the senior leadership team within adult social care on learning disabilities & autism supported living priorities, with the aim to develop strategies and services to support service users in this area.
• You will work with internal and external partners to ensure future services meet users needs, working with policy makers and providers accordingly.
• Within this role you will lead on specifications and tenders in this area, whilst also supporting junior staff members operationally.

Experience needed as a Senior Commissioner:

• Background in adults commissioning. Specifically with demonstrable experience within adult learning disabilities supported living accommodation.
• The successful candidate will have operated at this level or above consistently within local government before.
• Have the ability to get stuck in with the operational running of the service, whilst also able to positively contributed to strategic priorities for the directorate.
• Skilled negotiator and have the ability to work well and manage external providers.
• Be highly resilient.
• Available references for the most recent assignments.
