The Company

Syntax Integration is an IT Managed Services Provider, primarily serving clients in the financial, property, and investment sectors.


The Role

As an Cloud Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering support to ensure our clients' business systems operate cost-effectively and robustly.


You will act as a single point of contact for our customers, managing all tickets within SLA, whilst acting as an escalation point for the Service Desk and implementing internal improvements.


About You

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • At least 5 years’ experience working on an IT Service Desk/MSP in a similar background/role
  • A strong background in network technologies
  • Relevant certifications (e.g, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, Azure Fundamentals, CCNA)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).


Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Cloud solutions, Office 365, and Azure.
  • In-depth knowledge of Device Management and Remote Systems, i.e., Intune, Datto RMM, TeamViewer.
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server Operating Systems, Windows and MacOS.
  • In-depth knowledge of laptop/desktop hardware troubleshooting.
  • Practical knowledge of troubleshooting TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Exchange, and WDS.
  • Practical Knowledge of file and folder security management in reference to NTFS permissions and SharePoint permissions.
  • In-depth knowledge using backup products and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Azure, SkyKick, Barracuda and Spanning).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft security suites.
  • Design and implement network infrastructure solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Solid knowledge of network security concepts, including firewall configuration, VPN setup, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers.
  • Hands-on experience with network equipment such as Cisco routers and switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols and technologies.
