Role Description

Heligan Wealth Management is seeking to hire an energetic and delivery focussed Client Account Manager. Based in our Birmingham office, the role encompasses a broad range of business-wide initiatives, working closely with Client Advisors, Senior Management and Investment Management business functions as well as external clients and commercial counterparties.

Salary Range: £40k-50k based on experience.

Duties include:

  • Supporting Client Advisors, Investment Managers and other business functions to provide clients with outstanding levels of service
  • Working with Senior Management and Investment Management business functions (including the London based CEO and CIO) in order to support general business operations across Heligan Wealth Management and the wider Heligan Group
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for existing clients, including providing regular updates to clients on any specific projects and/or business campaigns
  • Assist with client onboarding process (KYC & AML), including oversight of administrative and account opening processes and liaison with relevant external counterparties
  • Assist with preparing and maintaining accurate suitability reports as well as presentation material used in client and prospective client meetings. The ideal candidate will relish the opportunity to meet with clients alongside the Client Advisors and build strong relationships based on trust
  • Working closely with the Investment Management team in respect of portfolio trading administration, client reporting, MIFIR transaction reporting and other administrative tasks
  • Coordinate internal projects and determine the best use of resources to increase operational efficiency
  • Maintain confidential records and filing of reports, correspondence and related material
  • Assisting with product/market research projects
  • Coordination of the Firm’s operational IT infrastructure, including website and social media content
  • To carry out any other duties, which might reasonably be requested by your line manager to ensure the smooth running of the client portfolio

Candidates required to:

  • Conduct business in accordance with FCA Rules and internal compliance requirements
  • Ensure you are fully aware of the legislative and internal compliance procedures relating to the role and that you act in accordance with those procedures at all times
  • Keep informed of current wealth management practice and developments relevant to the financial services marketplace

Personal Attributes/Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in financial services industry is required, preferably in a similar role within Wealth Management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including being comfortable conversing and dealing with high and ultra-high net worth individuals
  • Strong time management and organisation skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint & Word
  • Outstanding client service mindset and ability to work effectively with both Front Office and Support staff, at all levels
  • Ability to work proactively, independently & as part of a wider team
