Claims Fraud Investigator – Salary circa £30,000

This is an exciting opportunity for you to assist with evidence gathering and investigations into fraudulent activities, providing a great prospect to support the delivery of the Motor Claims Fraud strategy, by maximising the Fraud performance within their aligned business unit.

A bit about the job:

In this role, your primary responsibility will be to effectively investigate and manage investigations relating to fraudulent motor claims which have been referred from the Fraud Triage specialists (CFA).

You will be responsible for managing a caseload of motor claims fraud investigations through to conclusion of the fraud investigation. 

You'll be supporting the team in conducting preliminary and basic investigations into potential cases of fraud, gathering data, evidence and information to assist in making an informed decision.

You will be required to have challenging conversations with customers at times, be able to effectively manage and prioritise your caseload and work closely with your team, providing support where required.

To succeed in this role you will collaborate with other teams to share information and ensure that fraud prevention efforts are effective, participate training and education programs and provide support with various projects and initiatives as needed and keep abreast of new fraud trends and prevention methods, regulatory requirements and best practice.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking, prioritizing responsibilities and delivering within agreed time limits

  • Effective communication skills and good interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge, understanding and preferably experience of motor claims fraud investigations and possible outcomes of investigations

  • Demonstrate strong I.T skills, with prior experience of using software like Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

  • Customer centric mindset – strong telephony skills

  • Salary circa £30,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
