Job Title: Children's Residential Support WorkerLocation: Burton on TrentSalary: Up to £29,662 per annum inclusive of £40 sleep in rateWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team in Burton. The ideal candidate will have a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people. As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day care and support for children in a residential setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and personal development.Responsibilities: * Create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people. * Encourage and support children and young people in their education, social, and leisure activities. * Work as part of a team to develop and implement care plans and risk assessments tailored to each child's needs. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records * Support children and young people with their daily routines * Liaise with external agencies and professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people. * Act as a positive role model, promoting independence, self-esteem, and resilience in children and young people. * Participate in staff meetings, training, and development opportunities as required.Requirements: * Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential setting is desirable * NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care for Children and Young People (or equivalent) or a willingness to complete * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work effectively as part of a team. * A compassionate and caring nature. * Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins on a rota basis. * Ability to remain calm under pressure and in challenging situations. * A driving license is essential for the roleWhat we offer: * Casual Dress * Competitive pay with additional sleep in rate (average of £4,800 p/year) * 3% Employer Pension contribution * 100% training funded by employer (Inc. diplomas Level 3,4 & 5) * Free DBS check * Refer a friend bonus scheme up to £500 * Comprehensive induction programme * Career progression for all roles * Therapeutic training & consultation for all staff * A great work/life balance * Team building events * Electric car schemeIf you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people, we would love to hear from you!5ab Care are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment.
