Caretaker in Prestwood

We are seeking a Caretaker to join the team at a local school. The Purpose of the Caretaker is to work as part of a Facilities Team to help provide a safe, efficient and effective learning and working environment for students and staff.You will be assisting the Estates Manager / Assistant Facilities Manager to manage, develop and support the care taking and cleaning team to ensure high standards and to contribute to the aims of the school.As a Caretaker, the main duties and responsibilities will be:Security of premises - Including: Opening, locking, Alarm monitoring, Parking management, Key holder dutiesHealth and Safety - Including: Safety checks on alarms & Equipment, Pat testing, Stock checking & ReportingMaintenance -Including: General maintenance & repair, paving, fencing, plastering, painting, doors / windows, furniturePorterage - Including: Handling deliveries, Waste and room set up (when required)Heating / Lighting - Including: Checking & setting systems, Inventory checks & record keepingCleaning of premises - Including: When required, cleaning training of cleaners, Stock control & ordering if requiredGrounds maintenance - Including: General tidiness, proactive maintenance as requiredDriving - Use of school vehicles, when / if requiredAs for who we are looking for?you perhaps have come from another school Caretakers position or have experience in building services and wish to do something a little different.
