Caretaking ServiceLocation: Camden, LondonRate of Pay: £21.00 per hour umbrellaApplication Deadline: Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 13:00About the Role:Join Camden's Caretaking Service and play a pivotal role in Housing Management's mission to create and maintain safe, healthy communities and estates. As a Caretaker, you will provide a visible, trusted presence and deliver a flexible, responsive, and high-quality caretaking service to our housing estates and select street properties.Key Responsibilities:Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in residential buildings and surrounding external areas.Oversee waste management, grounds maintenance, and address health and safety issues.Collaborate with various council service teams, contractors, and support first responders in emergencies.Provide out-of-hours emergency service at night and weekends (for resident caretakers).Serve as the face of the Council, offering advice and support to residents, particularly those living independently and requiring additional assistance.Adapt and make informed decisions in challenging situations, working both independently and with team colleagues to ensure high-quality customer outcomes.Qualifications and Skills:Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work creatively and effectively alone or as part of a team.Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and make quick, informed decisions.Commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and safety.Willingness to undergo a DBS check at the recruitment stage.
