Assystem Energy & Infrastructure  are recruiting for a Buyer  to work at our customers site in Derby  on a 12 months contract basis.

Reporting directly to the Global Commodity Manager under Mechanical procurement.   

Role details: 

• Job title: Buyer
• Contract length: 12 months 
• Location: Derby  
• Contract type: PAYE via Umbrella solution

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Process requisitions and update management on the status of orders.
• Manage risks with suitable mitigations for their nominated suppliers.
• Identifying the organisations purchasing needs
• build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them to ensure best value for money.

Qualifications  and Experience:

• BA degree or equivalent or significant industry experience.
• Ideally MCIPs qualified or equivalent.
• Has a proven track record of delivering results.
• Knowledge of Defence Contracts

  **Security clearance** This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance.Due to the nature of work this role will be delivering and for the protection of certain assets, the successful candidate has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.
