BuyerFixed Term 6 months Motherwell or ManchesterIR35: Inside/OutsideRates - Salary pro rata for fixed termOur client has a requirement for a Buyer, who will be required to work on a contract basis for a 6 month fixed term contract in Motherwell or ManchesterRole Purpose:To manage the procurement of Services and Equipment on my client’s projects which involves supply chain development, procurement strategy, tendering and evaluation, negotiation, contract management, and expediting.

Job Role Responsibilities:Administer the process of procuring services and equipment for the company’s projects.

Work closely with project teams and customers to deliver a service that fully meets their requirements.

Support the procurement and supply chain team with the prequalification of existing and new supply chain partners.

Assess all quotes/commercial terms and lead all technical and commercial analysis.

Present and gain approval of the Tender Recommendations from the customers in accordance with the Procurement Strategy and Schedule.

Expedite and support engineering and construction teams to deliver procured items in accordance with the Project Schedule.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:Experience in a procurement role within construction or engineering.

High level of proficiency in the use of general Microsoft Office software (i.

e.

, Word, Excel, etc.

).

Experience with EU and UK supply chains.

Full UK driving license.

Experience working with construction contractors.

Experience delivering complex procurement packages.
