Business Support Assistant

The Business Support Teams provide a shared support service to executives, managers and professional teams across AfC, working together using common processes and digital practices to meet the business needs of AfC and deliverables outlined in the Service Level Agreements (SLA). A support service that is modern, agile and slick. Business Support sits the operations side of the business structure.

About the role

This role is perfect for those who have good admin and technology experience to undertake a range of functions that may include: note or minute taking, preparing and organising business meetings, processing workflows, dealing with internal and external customers and providing a high quality customer experience. 

About you

  • Educated to GCSE level C or above (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English
  • Experience of working in a business support capacity providing a wide range of administrative support
  • Good customer service skills - interacting with internal and external users is core requirement including routine enquiries from members of the public, which could be face to face, receiving and responding to incoming communication 
  • Experience of keeping basic records, both manual and electronic, including confidential records, filing documents accurately recording information and archiving files and in a standard format.
  • Able to make good use of technology to perform role: IT and digitally literate
  • Good organisational abilities including: time management, creative-thinking, problem-solving and multitasking.
