We are looking for a dynamic and adaptable Business Operations Specialist to support ongoing delivery for a business critical project. The successful candidate will be joining a team driving business improvement activities and their contribution will ensure delivery of the deterrent programme. This is a unique role that offers the successful candidate the opportunity to develop their knowledge and make a real difference to the nation s security.

Location : We are in the Berkshire countryside between Reading and Basingstoke. This role will require the candidate to work across both Aldermaston and Burghfield sites. Due to classification of activities, this role will require the candidate to work onsite.

Salary: From £38,140 depending on experience and suitability.

  • Excellent IT skills including MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Be data driven and able to interpret volumes of information to support decision making.
  • Previous experience using Teamcenter/Jobscope would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge and/or experience working across Technology/delivery Centres and/or Operations would be advantageous.
  • Experience with continuous improvement on processes, a willingness to be curious and challenge ways of working.


Key Accountabilities
  • Lead the delivery of project governance boards including minutes, KPI reporting and collaborating with a wide variety of stakeholders including senior leadership to ensure its success.
  • Delivery of disposition authorisation and disposition process improvements within a designated technology centre.
  • Deliver all assigned project tasks in accordance with requirements, operational constraints, time, cost, and quality.
  • Support the effective communication, and engagement approach to ensure project success.
  • Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality, and be a great team player.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support and coordinate information gathering and developing KPIs.
  • Maintaining project KPIs and communicating these to stakeholders.
  • Produce progress reporting outputs and manage stakeholder relationships to ensure actions and tasks are progressed.
  • Facilitate workshops; proactively coordinate a variety of stakeholders to ensure inputs required and support prioritisation of work activities.
  • Maintain key project knowledge database and drive efficiencies in trackers and reporting.
  • Implement and maintain configuration and record keeping.
  • Collaborating with wider stakeholder groups to maximise project benefits.
  • Willingness to step up to support project delivery.
  • The Company may require you to fulfil any other reasonable duties aligned to your position from time to time in line with business needs.
