A wonderful opportunity for a graduate or first/second jobber with strong writing skills seeking a career in business development with the creative and marketing industry.

Rainmaker helps leading creative and marketing agencies to win new clients.

We do this by connecting them with brands like PlayStation, Depop, Uniqlo, Tesla, Nike, Canada Goose, Sonos, Revolut, Tesco, and Estée Lauder.

We’re on a mission to be the best - and this role offers exposure to a variety of marketing agencies and their strategic growth challenges.

We work from our fantastic FORA workspace in London’s buzzy Shoreditch, plus hybrid working on Fridays.

You’ll be researching and analysing the challenges that brands are facing, then reaching out to them on behalf of your clients.

To succeed, a good grasp of how brands and business operate, and excellent written English language skills will be necessary - to communicate rapidly, expressively, and accurately - even when under pressure to meet deadlines.

THE ROLE INVOLVES

  • Research and analysis using our information platforms, then reaching out via individually tailored email to each brand with the aim of creating new business opportunities for your client to progress.

  • Expertly matching your clients’ capabilities with the varying challenges each brand faces.

  • Arranging video or physical meetings between them.

  • Attending monthly planning meetings with your clients and account manager.

  • Researching brand targets, and identification of those responsible for brand marketing.

  • Maintaining your brand database, and associated admin.

  • Continually strengthening your knowledge of brands, business issues, the marketing space, and the general economy.

  • Making observations on the market, and providing data, insights, and feedback for your client.

  • Structured salary, bonus, and career advancement scheme.

  • Consideration for Senior Account Executive, and then Account Manager.

  • Regular social events.

  • On site free gym with classes and flexible worktime to accommodate lunchtime sessions, lounge area café, bar, sunny roof terrace, communal lounge, and breakout workspaces.

  • Plentiful and secure bike racks with on-site shower and changing facilities.

  • Excellent tech, data, and research tools to support you in your role.

  • New Jura barista coffee machines, complimentary Caravan Coffee, Pukka teas, and sustainability-friendly Zip Taps.

  • Free snacks in kitchen area.

  • A pension-scheme.

  • WHAT WE’D EXPECT FROM YOU

  • Strong academic results, with detailed grades set out on your CV.

  • An interest in, and keeping up to date with, current affairs and business news.

  • Excellent English language skills, writing fast and accurately even when under pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Drive, hard work, resilience, and a willingness to learn and improve your skills.
