Eden Scott is delighted to be working with a Scottish owned fast- growing, independent hospitality group with a portfolio of restaurants situated in Scotland and the North of England. Their Head office is based in Glasgow.


They have a robust Sales & Marketing team and looking to add an experienced individual who join the team in a new role of Business Development Executive.


Reporting into their Sales Manager, you will be responsible for establishing viable opportunities for our event spaces, contacting prospective customers, evaluating leads and booking events both private and corporate.


Key Responsibilities:



  • You will be comfortable working closely with the whole team; you are the centre point between the Marketing team who works at one end of the funnel and the operational team which deliver the best dining experiences. You will need to find, warm up and fully qualify leads, then convert these leads into event bookings

  • You need to be confident on the telephone to speak with both totally new and existing contacts and have some experience in either sales, business development or customer service with demonstrable results-driven outcomes is required.

  • Good at prospecting cold leads and accurate at qualifying warm leads

  • Conduct thorough research on leads, engage in proactive outreach, develop extensive knowledge of this market, and take on other key activities to help thoughtfully and effectively qualify leads

  • Establish who is the decision-maker and identify whether the company would use the spaces available across the group for their meetings, conferences and/or private dining. Where possible, also establish budget parameters.

  • Good IT skills and ideally, some experience with a CRM system

    In order for you to be successful in this role you will need to be; proactive and results-oriented with excellent relationship-building skills. An understanding of the Food and Beverage Industry is also highly beneficial. For you sales isn't a job, it's a career, and you are good at it.     Experience & Competencies:



  • Have an outstanding record of sales achievement, ideally within the F&B industry

  • 2+ Years of sales experience in a similar role

  • Proven track record of hitting meeting targets

  • Be able to work with defined KPIs, processes and guidelines


  • Skills:



  • Proficiency in English is required, other languages are a bonus

  • Full training is given, but computer literacy is required

  • A valid driving license

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
