We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Executive to join our Business Development team.  You will be working closely with our Commercial Services Group (CSG) and with our sector focused Business Development teams as well as the wider marketing and business development team. 

As a Business Development Executive, you will have the opportunity to deliver market leading sales and marketing activities to support the firm’s ambitious growth strategy. 

 

Your Role  Sales enablement 
  • Supporting the creation and progression of sales pipelines for targeting new clients and identifying opportunities to cross-sell services to existing clients. 
  • Working on a variety of team business development and client plans and attending team meetings to progress these. 
  • Producing credentials documents, presentations, proposals and pitch presentations to support winning new business. 
  • Tracking sales referrals, meetings and follow up. 
  • Assisting in the launch to market of new services and solutions. 
  • Supporting the Senior Business Development Manager and our central Bids team on formal bid opportunities including maintaining a library of precedent text for credentials, proposals and bids through our pitch management system. 
  • Maintaining mailing lists within our CRM system. 
Communications and events 
  • Assisting with marketing communications including, e-marketing updates, event invitations, social media and website content and award submissions. 
  • Supporting the legal directory process for CSG service lines, from the collation and submission of referees to the development of written submissions.  
  • Working with the team on the development of marketing campaigns. 
  • Creating and managing internal communications materials including regular newsletters and  intranet articles. 
  • Assisting in the running of events (virtual, in-person and hybrid), hosted events, corporate hospitality and internal events and attending to support as and when required. 
  • Responsibilities include all aspects of event management such as mailing list creation, design of invitations and programme, development of marketing materials and presentations, liaising with suppliers and speakers, event reporting and follow up. 
  • Managing our membership benefits with industry bodies to develop our relationships, sponsorship opportunities, speaking opportunities, events and other activities 
  • Supporting the development and delivery of thought-leadership campaigns 
  • Producing videos, podcasts and other forms of digital content 
  • Working with our Press Office to identify opportunities and capitalising on PR opportunities 
  • Managing the budget/costs and payments to external suppliers associated to activity. 
  • Travel to all national offices will be required at times.  

 

Your Skills and Experience 
  • Graduate or equivalent ideally with BD/marketing experience in a professional services environment. 
  • Strong organisational and time management skills. 
  • Able to work well under pressure and drive projects to completion. 
  • Good copywriting, editing and proof-reading skills, with strong attention to detail. 
  • Experience of using BD/marketing technologies (e.g. CRM systems, email marketing platforms, webinar services, project management platforms and website/intranet content management systems) would be advantageous. 
  • Ability to assimilate information quickly and a keen interest in developing your knowledge of TLT, the legal sector and the clients that we support.
