The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of New Business Sales, you will build a quality, reliable sales pipeline as part of our newly formed New Business Sales team. You will join the team right at the start of it's journey and so have the opportunity to make a a big impact. Your target audience will be the UK financial services sector (pension and insurance providers, banks and independent financial advisers). 

The Role

  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Intermediary sector of the UK financial services industry and of the opportunities, challenges and needs of Advisers and Investment managers
  • Build detailed knowledge of Defaqto’s products and services and how they can deliver high levels of value to prospects
  • Understand the competitive landscape in which Defaqto operates
  • Determine appropriate sales tactics to ensure that key metrics are hit and conversion targets are met
  • Plan strategy for multi-channel outreach (mix of calls, emails and LinkedIn) to prospects.
  • For each lead identified:
    • Develop a clear understanding of the customer’s needs
    • Promote appropriate products and services to meet those needs
  • Complete all sales administration activities, including:
    • Setting up and updating customer records in CRM.
    • Diarising and logging all customer-related activity

Do you fit the bill?

  • Ideally, we are looking for candidates who have some business development experience gained within a financial services company but if you can demonstrate a genuine desire to develop a career within this sector and have experience in a telephone-based role combined with a can-do attitude then we're happy to consider your application!
  • You are a self-starter, somebody who is curious and keen to learn with a flexible and positive approach to change.
  • You will have strong organisational skills and be able to manage your time effectively.
  • You are somebody who is motivated by working in a target-driven environment where your bonus is reflective of the effort and work you have put in.

Location

Our internal sales team are expected to work from our Haddenham office at least 3 days a week.  We have ample free onsite parking and the Haddenham and Thame train station is just a 10 minute walk away.

Training

We will provide you with all the tools and skills required to deliver a high quality and best practice business development service.
