Business Analyst in London

About the Role

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our team based out of our UK head office, located on Palace Street in central London. The purpose of this role is to take on a supporting role in business planning and analysis supporting the Ports & terminals businesses.

How you will contribute

• Provide support by developing quality research and financial analysis to support strategic projects in the businesses.
• Produce to a high standard business and strategic analyses and recommendations on investment and strategic decisions within P&T
• Support the team through co-ordinating and filtering information from all aspects of the business, challenging assumptions and status quo, analysing the information, and ensuring key drivers are assessed, their impacts clearly understood.
• Support internal and external resources in identifying, developing, and executing new and existing investment projects on a regional basis.
• Conducting in-depth research and collating information into useful forms for the department.
• Provide critical financial analyses to the team on key business projects to inform reporting to SLT and Head office.
• Provide input and insight to help the team deliver efficiency and improved operational and financial performance of existing businesses.
• Close collaboration with the BU commercial teams to ensure key commercial assumptions are understood and factored in any business plan / case development

What you will bring

• At least 4 years commercial experience, from a project finance background with strong modelling skills is essential
• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Exceptional listener. You communicate clearly. You write exceptionally well and you speak eloquently. You can explain just about anything to anyone. You’re comfortable on the phone or to groups of people – at any level. You are incredibly tactful when delivering the facts.
• You enjoy solving problems. Getting to the root cause. You love taking on difficult challenges and finding creative, innovative solutions. You don’t get flustered easily. If you don’t know the answer, you’ll dig until you find it.
• You pay strong attention to the details as it is one of your core qualities. As far as you are concerned, anything worth doing is worth doing right, every single time. You stay focussed and nothing falls through the cracks on your watch.
• You are ready to travel between 10-30% of the time across the region to our operations to perform tasks / activities on site.

Desirable

• Experience in the logistics industry.
• Understanding structures in DP World Group.
