Key Responsibilities:

• Advising clients on the patentability of biotechnology inventions and providing strategic IP guidance
• Drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the field of biotechnology
• Conducting patent searches and analysing technical and legal issues
• Managing and maintaining client patent portfolios
• Representing clients in proceedings before the European Patent Office and other relevant authorities
• Collaborating with other attorneys and technical experts to deliver comprehensive IP solutions

Requirements:

• Qualified or near-qualified Biotechnology Patent Attorney (finals standard to 2 years PQE)
• Strong background in biotechnology, with a degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and provide high-quality service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
