This role is integral to the successful planning, design, and execution of various AV projects, including new office setups, equipment upgrades, and system integrations. The AV Consultant will be responsible for creating AV designs in accordance with global standards and overseeing the delivery of these projects from inception to completion.

Description of Duties

As an AV Consultant, you will be responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of AV projects, from initial design and planning to final implementation and support. This includes conducting site surveys and needs assessments to develop detailed AV design plans that align with client requirements and global standards. You will supervise the installation and configuration of AV equipment, ensuring all systems are properly integrated and functioning to meet performance standards. Comprehensive testing and troubleshooting will be conducted to resolve any technical issues, while providing ongoing technical support and training to client staff on new AV systems.

Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and IT staff, to ensure seamless integration of AV systems into broader project designs. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining thorough project documentation and reporting, ensuring all aspects of the AV systems are well-documented for future reference and continuous improvement.

This role requires a blend of on-site presence (three days a week) and remote work (two days a week).

The candidate must be adaptable to the dynamic environment of a global technology firm.

  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to global AV standards and best practices throughout project execution.

  • Design and Implementation
  • Create comprehensive AV designs and schematics that meet client requirements and global standards.
  • Select appropriate AV equipment and technologies to fulfill project needs.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of AV systems.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client regarding AV projects and initiatives.
  • Understand client needs and translate them into effective AV solutions.
  • Provide training and support to client staff on new AV systems and technologies.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and ongoing support.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including design plans, project status reports, and technical manuals.
  • Prepare and present regular project updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all AV systems and configurations for future reference.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in AV technology.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of AV systems.
  • Participate in the development and updating of global AV standards.

In addition to delivery responsibilities, consultants are expected to:

Have strong interpersonal skills.

Be able to command and empathise with client teams.
