A client of ours in the Chelmsford area are recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant to join their team. This is a 6-month (ongoing) FTC position working Monday - Thursday 9.00am - 5.30pm and Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm. Paying between £28,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience.

Key Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Key Credit Control Function ensuring prompt payment within terms
  • Reconciliations of Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger.
  • Liaising with suppliers and customers to resolve queries.
  • Allocating bank payments and receipts with no invoices.
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assist in preparing Management Accounts
  • Support and mentoring apprentice accounts staff
  • Responding to emails / phone calls.
  • Assisting with other accounting duties as required.


    • Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Assistant Management Accountant position:

  • AAT accountancy qualified or higher but QBE will be considered
  • Working knowledge of Netsuite desirable but not essential
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Proven track record in Management Accounts and Credit Control
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Highly numerate
  • Excellent communication skills
