Assistant Management Accountant in Cheadle

We are currently working with a market leading business manufacturing company based in Stockport. In the appointment of an assistant management accountant to join a dynamic team on a 12 month fixed term contract basis .

Based in Cheadle, the Assistant Management Accountant is a professional responsible for supporting the finance team to maintain accurate and timely information in our systems. To assist in the provision of internal reporting and financial control.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

· To work with the Finance Director assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts.

· Providing assistance to the Management Accountant and other members of the Finance team as required.

· Accruals and pre-payments.

· Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations.

· Assisting with Asset Based Lender processes.

· Assisting with the preparation of VAT submissions.

· Posting Amazon invoices.

· Organising events and office duties.

· Ad-hoc tasks as and when required.

Experience:

· A degree or AAT Level 3 or above qualification is essential.

· Must have 3 years' experience working within an Accounts role.

· Possess an understanding of month end processes.

· Strong working knowledge of MS Excel is essential.

· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

· Ability to work towards deadlines and manage own time.

· Good organisational and interpersonal skills.

· Openness to learn.
