Assistant Financial Controller in Worksop

Assistant Financial Controller| Worksop| to £38,000 | Office based We are currently seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to join a rapidly growing SME.

This role offers a variety of day-to-day tasks, but a significant part of the role will involve project work focusing on improving efficiencies within the finance team and across the wider business.

The ideal candidate will be part-qualified (AAT/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent), with at least 3 years of working within a Finance department.  

The company will offer study support to assist with you becoming qualified.

Some of the Key Responsibilities…You will be responsible for preparing the month-end journals and other month-end proceduresYou will be responsible for reconciling the balance sheetAssist with month and year-end reporting to stakeholdersAssist with the preparation of board packsYou will work closely with external accountants on tax and audit requirementsLook at ways to improve processes and streamlineAct as number 2 to the Financial Controller  Who the client is looking for….

Ideally you will be Part Qualified AAT/ACCA/CIMA with at least 3 years in FinanceHave the desire to look at processes with a view to improving and streamlining themHave a can-do attitude and a desire to complete Accountancy studiesExperience of Sage 200 and Excel What’s on offer….
