Role Overview:

Support regional operating teams with procurement services to achieve business plans, build delivery programs, commercial objectives, budgets, and growth requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance profitability and operational effectiveness of business operations by being passionate, collaborative, and respectful.
  • Assist Regional Buyer with procurement administration, policy compliance, and reporting to meet material and site requirements aligned with build programs and commercial objectives.
  • Manage supplier partnerships to ensure contractual terms are met and orders comply with group policies.
  • Assist in scheduling site start programs and procurement activities.
  • Ensure timely placement of bulk, plot-specific, and variation material orders according to KPIs, specifications, group deals, and approval processes.
  • Resolve supplier ordering, delivery, and invoice queries efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to maintain effective working and supplier relationships.
  • Report procurement function issues to Regional Buyer promptly and support improved operating practices.
  • Authorise and commit expenditure within approval limits.
  • Assist Group Procurement with related tasks and scheduling.
  • Comply with Health & Safety, Environmental, Corporate Responsibility Policies, and other company policies.

Performance Measures:

  • Produce key procurement information and provide added-value support to the region.
  • Collate supply chain KPIs, including forklift data, weekly plant reports, and material schedules for the Group Commercial & Procurement team.
  • Support site and build procurement program requirements, ensuring requisitions, orders, and invoice queries meet KPIs.
  • Deliver activity targets (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
  • Manage stakeholders for positive outcomes.
  • Adhere to group control and compliance policies and processes in procurement and buying

What we are looking for:

A good understanding of House building

A good financial and commercial awareness

A good understanding of the current technical and design regulations

Proficient in COINS (procurement section) system and Microsoft Excel

Numerical and literate

Able to balance multiple priorities within a fast-changing and demanding environment
