Assistant Accountant - Hybrid in Runcorn

RG Consultancy are excited to be working with an expanding Tech company based in Runcorn.

Our client is looking for an Assistant Accountant to come on board and really help drive the business forward by supporting the Company Accountant in their duties who you will report directly into.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in finance and work alongside an experienced accountant.

The company are part of a larger group and this role will be supporting the accounts for the group.

Duties

• Execute the processing of supplier invoices for various businesses within the corporate conglomerate, ensuring meticulousness and entirety in alignment with prescribed reporting timelines.
• Maintain daily reconciliations of bank transactions, recording them in the ledgers, and investigate and resolve any inconsistencies that may arise.
• Create customer invoices sourced from diverse origins, upholding precision and thoroughness to facilitate seamless payment processing for customers.
• Collaborate with different departments to validate the accuracy of coding during invoice and employee record processing.
• Engage actively in the credit control process for select group entities, encompassing direct customer interactions and the utilisation and setup of automated payment mechanisms.
• Undertake the responsibilities across a multitude of businesses within the group, offering the ideal candidate extensive exposure to diverse business methodologies and operations.
• Contribute actively to weekly financial meetings, ensuring the team delivers a service of utmost quality to the entire group.
• Support the Finance Team in identifying potential financial prospects for transformation, cost savings, and expansion, where applicable.
