After School Club Playworker AssistantLocation: Forest Hill SE23Salary: £11- £12.50 an hourHours: 2.45pm to 6.00pm Monday to FridayContract: Temp Part-time, Term-time onlyWe are recruiting on behalf or our client who is looking for a After School Club Playworker Assistant for their primary school in Forest Hill.This role will be providing children between 5 and 11 years old, providing support and a safe environment for children from the school we are based in. To help children get involved in activities including sports, arts & crafts and educational, and support to children.Play workActivitiesSupport through snack timesKey Responsibilities:* Provide a safe, stimulating, and happy environment for pupils* To supervise pupils, including arrival and departure and visits to the toilet* Set up playrooms and ensure that the setting is left clean and tidy at the end of each session (this does mean cleaning is involved)* Contribute to planning and the provision of a stimulating range of age-appropriate activities and ensuring the club is well-resourced and creatively setup* Log pupils’ time of collection and name of the collector* Log all incidents of danger and accidents* To ensure no pupils are left unsupervised at any time* Ensure that the children receive adequate refreshments, and help promote healthy eating*Supervise and assists pupils with activities throughout their session* cover colleagues’ working hours in times of emergency/sickness* Assist with any reasonable request from the breakfast & After School Clubs ManagerQualifications & Experience* Experience working with young children.
