Our client, a well-known and exciting business based in Guildford, is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their Accounts team on a temporary basis as soon as possible in a fully office-based role. To be successful in this role you will have solid experience of processing a high volume of invoices and purchase orders and be able to provide a high-quality service to the business and suppliers. Accounts Payable Assistant - About The Role * Supplier statement reconciliations * Dealing with supplier queries via phone and email * Investigating discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices * Coding and processing all invoices received in the business * Controlling and monitoring the authorisation of invoices * Managing the Accounts Payable inbox * General ad-hoc accounts duties as and when requested The successful Accounts Payable Assistant will have/be: * A wealth of solid Accounts Payable experience, in particular processing a high volume of invoices and purchase orders on a daily basis * Experience of resolving accounts queries * An excellent work ethic, attention to detail and strong communication skills * Organised and used to working in a fast-paced environment * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team * Available immediately * Able to travel to Guildford on a daily basis with ease and must be a driver due to location Accounts Payable Assistant - Benefits * Excellent working environment * Competitive pay rate * Free parking * Fully office based Howett Thorpe are acting as a recruitment agency in relation to this role and comply with all relevant UK legislation and do not discriminate on any protected characteristics.
