This is a fantastic opportunity to join a top 100 law firm based in Wakefield. We are looking to hire an Accounts Assistant to work within our Finance Department!

What you’ll be working on:

This is a key role to support the Finance team. You will ensure the accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions and processes, whilst remaining compliant with the SRA Accounts Rules and internal SLAs.

Your day-to-day

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and the preparation of accounts analysis
  • Prepare weekly sales reporting and daily upload of billing information
  • Assist with the year end audit process
  • Responsibility for processing company credit cards and expenses, including coding and checking they are in line with policy, through to payment.
  • You should apply if you:

  • are educated to A-Level (or an equivalent) standard
  • can work under pressure to strict deadlines
  • have good communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels

  • are educated to degree level, preferably in a relevant field
  • have previous purchase ledger experience
  • are studying towards your AAT
