Our client, an establish Accountants & Business advisor firm based just south of Gateshead are seeking to hire an Accounts Assistant ASAP!They provide comprehensive accounting services to a diverse client base. The right candidate would be joining a supportive and collaborative work environment and in return they are seeking a meticulous and dedicated individual.Accounts Assistant - Position Overview You will play a crucial role in supporting the accounting team. Your primary responsibilities will include:Bookkeeping: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for their clients.Accounts Payable & Receivable: Managing invoices, processing payments, and tracking receivables.Bank Reconciliations: Ensuring bank statements align with financial records.Financial Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.VAT Returns: Preparing and submitting VAT returns accurately and on time.Client Support: Providing excellent customer service to clients, addressing their queries, and offering financial advice under the guidance of senior accountants.Administrative Tasks: Supporting the team with various administrative duties as required.Accounts Assistant - Position Requirements Qualified by experience or a relevant qualification (AAT Qualified)Experience in finance clerical roles.Experience of dealing with large volumes of data and financial information.Good knowledge of Outlook and Excel.Excellent numerical skill and attention to detail.Willing to go the extra mile for their clients.Responsible and Well Organised.A strong understanding of Corporation Tax And Allowances is beneficial.Accounts Assistant - Position Remuneration Salary of £26,000 to £29,000 depending on experience25 days holiday + bank holidaysBirthday offMonday to FridayFlexible hoursDeath in ServiceCompany pensionStreamline Search is acting as a Recruitment Agency in relation to this vacancy, and in accordance with GDPR by applying to this post you are granting us consent to process your data and contact you in relation to this application
