We are looking to recruit an experienced and talented Account Director to work across two exciting new flagship accounts within our motorsport client portfolio. The right candidate will be proactive, strategically minded and have a track record of delivering successful and impactful marketing programmes.

The right candidate will relish challenges, enjoy fast-paced teamwork, love working with brands in an agency environment and is rewarded by creating and growing opportunities.

This position needs a partnerships professional with experience managing a team of talented individuals. A background in sports sponsorship or motorsport is preferred but not essential.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Client / Account Management

  • Develop an excellent understanding of client marketing strategy and brand objectives, market and key competitors
  • Deliver robust sponsorship marketing campaigns incorporating strategy and tactics
  • Management of partnership assets and relationships with key rights holders on F1 teams/F1
  • Management of digital content, social campaigns; ideas development
  • Lead Internal and All Agency brainstorms and ideas development
  • Development and oversight of project timelines, monthly budgets and client reporting
  • Oversee KPI setting and campaign evaluation with team
  • Run regular project and status meetings with senior clients (and rights holders where relevant)
  • Forward planning to anticipate challenges / issues and put in place proactive resolutions

Internal Communications

  • Build strong relationships and foster good team spirit internally and amongst client teams
  • Draw upon experience from across Wasserman, where relevant, to optimise quality of work provided on the account

Financial Accountability

  • Identify incremental business opportunities
  • Proactively seek ways to grow the account by becoming an ambassador of Wasserman’s services so they are front of mind when opportunities present themselves
  • Oversight and renewal of annual scope of work

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED

  • Experience working on consumer brands is preferred, but not essential
  • Strong client management skills - ability to manage clients and gain trust and respect of senior clients
  • Take responsibility for delivering agreed level of activity and meeting deadlines
  • Team management – ability to delegate and manage a team
  • Ability to prioritise workload and respond to client briefs on time and within budget
  • Presentation skills (both writing and delivery), internally and to clients / suppliers including use of Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written – and attention to detail
  • Creative thinking
  • Knowledge of, and passion for, both sport and music & entertainment is a bonus
