WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As Value Stream Manager you will be provide leadership and direction for the assigned Value Stream.

Directly responsible for overall value stream’s performance with respect to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth.

Also, is responsible for leading and optimizing processes ensuring the highest possible standards to meet customer demands and business needs.

The Value Stream Manager will have a direct impact on our Operations group, responsible for:

  • Drive the value stream to deliver plan levels of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Growth by ensuring that all associates are fully engaged in improving the performance of each production line.
  • Understand and maintain requirements of the EHS Manual to ensure compliance with the corresponding regulations.
  • Manage all aspects of Health, Safety and Environment within the stream including safety reviews and risk assessments, reporting of an investigation of accidents, incidents and near misses.
  • Ensure execution of hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly production plan of each value stream.
  • Maintain visual controls (KPI, MRS, TPM and 5s Boards) in the assigned value stream and ensure that they accurately reflect key problems, root causes through appropriate analysis, and containment, corrective and systematic action.
  • Update daily, weekly, and monthly report (Bowlers, Flash, MOR, CI Roadmap, SharePoint).
  • Provide earned hours pulse and forecast.
  • Develop and maintain the future state of Value Stream Map and FFV (Future Factory Vision) through Kaizen, JDI and projects that supports the winning business and manufacturing model.
  • Work closely with engineering, supply chain, finance, quality, and other functional areas, as well as with customers and suppliers to meet or exceed customer needs.
  • Participate in the weekly and monthly SIOP process for assigned Value Streams to determine the daily production rates and the direct labor for the production line depending on the standard work and playbook required to meet customer demand.
  • Report, improve and lead KPI metrics for each value stream (RTY, Efficiency, UPPH, Uptime, Productivity and Flexibility)
  • Ensure all data is gathered correctly from each value stream.
  • Ensure and display leadership characteristics in implementing SWFF, 5S, TPM, MRS, SMED and Problem Solving.
  • Maintain APQP core tools in each value stream (PFD, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA and SPC).
  • Manage, lead, and motivate the Value Stream team and handle disciplinary issues as and when appropriate.
  • Develop associates through the IC (Intellectual Capital) process.

    Qualifications and Requirements

  • HND - Degree in Mechanical / Production / Electronic / Manufacturing Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in manufacturing line management role.
  • Experience of Electronics Industry or Automotive Industry (an advantage, but not essential).
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing Techniques such as Standard Work, SMED, TPM, VSM, Problem Solving and Kaizen
  • 6 Sigma trained (either green or Black belt an advantage, but not essential).
  • Experience of creating SOP, Work Instruction and Procedures.
  • Experience on APQP Core Tools such as Process Flow Charts, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA and SPC.
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Competent in reading and understanding CAD drawings and the use of basic measuring tools such as Vernier caliper gauge, height gauge, slip gauges.
  • Innovation and Smart Factory techniques such as COBOTs, SCADA, etc.
  • Understanding of Quality Systems and techniques. Knowledge of adhering to BSI, ISO 9001, TS 16949 Quality Management system.
  • Experience of PCBs, plastic injection moulding, machine shop and Coils techniques (an advantage, but not essential).
  • High digital quotient, including a good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite software (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
