The Company
As a leading UK specialist Business Services & Investment Partner Group, this fast-expanding business is responsible for project and services delivery across a broad range of Public Private Partnership investments. Due to ongoing expansion and development of the investments, a newly created Valuation Associate role has arisen for a 2:1/1st class graduate with 1-3 years relevant analytical experience and strong Excel modelling skills. You will support the team providing analytical support from a project and portfolio perspective.
Key Responsibilities of the Valuation Associate
• Quarterly update of project and fund models, and production of discounted cashflow valuations and IRRs
• Perform modelling input assumption reviews and present recommendations for changes
• Lead the creation of valuation reporting packs for relevant funds
• Undertake research in respect of political and economic factors affecting the portfolio. Review and collate research conducted by the wider team
• Assist with investor, debt and regulatory reporting requirements
• Support the external audit of individual funds and liaison with independent valuation advisors
• Work with the asset management team to identify and model value enhancement opportunities
• Work with fund managers to support dividend cover analysis and wider fund management functions
• Monitor peer listed fund announcements and summarise key findings for the team
• Presentation of quarterly valuation results to senior stakeholders within the Group
• Review of analysis carried out by other members within the team
Skills & Attributes of the Valuation Associate
• University graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree from a top university
• 2-4 years post university experience in a relevant role with a focus on renewable energy sector
• Strong financial modelling experience sufficient to understand, review, evaluate and manage financial models
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; including the ability to present technical financial information in a clear and concise manner
• Strong team player who collaborates across teams and recognises the importance of building strong connections across the group
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, and ability to meet regular deadlines
• Report writing skills and ability to produce concise and clear documents for internal and external purposes
• Strong attention to detail
