Job Role: Unqualified Cover Supervisor - Immediate Start

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work in education?

Do you have excellent communication skills and a passion for supporting students in their learning?

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Unqualified Cover Supervisor at our secondary school in Leyland .

This is a flexible contract position with a September start .

Responsibilities:

  • Provide cover supervision for absent teachers across various subjects and year groups.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students are engaged and on task.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Support students in their learning by answering questions and providing guidance.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and follow their instructions regarding the delivery of lessons.
  • Complete administrative tasks related to cover supervision, such as taking attendance.

Requirements:

  • No formal qualifications required; we welcome applications from individuals without teaching qualifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and year groups.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Genuine interest in supporting students' educational development.
  • Prior experience working with young people is an advantage.
