  • Nursing qualification (RGN/RMN/RNLD)
  • Valid UK NMC Pin
  • Clear DBS
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Good working knowledge of CQC regulations
  • Proven track record of leading a Nursing team and delivery of person-centred care, including care planning

The role of a Unit Nurse Manager within the Nursing Home involves:
  • Being responsible for leading, directing and supporting the Nursing and Care team
  • Managing rotas, ensuring there is sufficient cover at all times
  • Actively recruit and maintain good staffing levels
  • Mentoring junior members of staff
  • Ensuring all staff complete mandatory and required training
  • Carrying out staff supervisions and appraisals
  • Ensuring Unit is compliant with CQC and internal policies
  • Managing and monitor medication processes and compliance
  • Completing all relevant audits to ensure internal and external compliance
