Transport Manager in Stalybridge

We are currently hiring for a proactive Transport Supervisor to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Stalybridge, Tameside.

This role involves a significant amount of coordination, administrative management, and direct communication with both internal teams and external customers.

* Vehicle Loading Administration: Manage the building of loads, provision of load sheets to FLT loaders, and issuance of delivery notes.

Ensure timely and accurate vehicle departures following designated routes and manage all related amendments.

* Customer Liaison: Communicate directly with customers via telephone and email to coordinate delivery priorities and schedules.

Address and resolve any queries related to deliveries promptly and effectively.

* Communication and Team Management: Provide clear instructions and support to FLT drivers, ensuring safety and efficiency in vehicle loading operations.

Maintain a tidy workspace and a clear chain of command.

What do you need?

* Proven experience in a supervisory role within a transport or logistics environment * Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel * Excellent communication skills and the ability to operate effectively within a team.
