Job Description

As a  Transport Administrator , you will contribute to the success of the site by ensuring customer queries are dealt with in a timely and professional manner and to the satisfaction of the customer. As mentioned, we pride ourselves on achieving a high standard of customer service excellence at all times and so excellent communication skills are a must for this position. 

Shift Pattern – Monday - Friday Days (08:00 - 16:00)Salary – Up to £26,622

Key Duties of a Transport Administrator include:

  • Arranging all outbound delivery bookings on behalf of our clients.
  • Liaising with clients via email and telephone to arrange necessary bookings.
  • Adding accurate delivery information to our transport management systems.
  • Logging any delivery issues, delays or failures to assist with monthly reporting.
  • Communicating professionally with clients and the team regarding any delivery issues, cancellations or delays.
  • Producing packing and label instruction sheets via our Excel template.
  • Updating confirmed bookings, transport and pricing information accurately on the internal system and customer web portals.
Qualifications

As a Transport Administrator you will possess the following skill, experiences and qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport with internal and external colleagues. 
  • Proven experience working with transport and hauliers would be desirable, but not essential. 
  • Strong data entry skills and attention to detail as you will use various platforms including websites, spreadsheets and warehouse systems.
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.
  • High level of numeracy is advantageous.
