Role - Trainee/Assistant Quantity Surveyor 

 

The purpose of this role is to provide commercial support to the TSP Quantity Surveyor and Project Teams, maintaining commercial information and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. Liaise with customer representatives and other third parties on commercial issues including agreement of variations, claims and any additional payments. The main accountabilities of the role include but are not limited to:

 

Key Accountabilities

Reporting

  • Support the robust, accurate and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit level.
  • Support accurate cash flow reporting.
  • Support the completion of cost management including forecasting
  • Support the completion of weekly / monthly commercial plans.

 Processes

 

  • Help ensure that internal commercial processes are adhered to across the business unit.
  • Actively seek to improve processes and procedures.

External Relationships

 

  • Help ensure that terms and conditions entered into are appropriate, with commercial risks identified.

        Build and maintain good client relationships.

        Support the preparation of Applications for Payment and liaise with the client on commercial issues. 

Qualifications /Experience Required / Person Attributes

  • 2 to 3 A levels, or equivalent
