Trainee Asbestos Surveyor in Dartford

PA Group UK  part of the RSK Group  have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Asbestos Surveyor  to join our busy team based in Dartford, UK.

PA Group UK  are a multidisciplinary, health and safety executive licensed asbestos removal and UKAS-accredited asbestos inspection and testing contractor.

The Opportunity:

As a trainee at PA Group, this role is an opportunity to learn a new skill set for a long-term career. You will be supported by a senior mentor and a full technical team through an industry-leading training programme. You’ll learn on the job and via specialist training modules, at the end of which you will have the opportunity to obtain professional qualifications and authorisation to work as a qualified Asbestos Surveyor.

Duties will include:

Assisting qualified surveyors with the following surveys to industrial, commercial, and domestic premises to train and gain experience towards gaining their P402 qualification:

• Asbestos Management Surveys
• Asbestos Refurbishment Surveys
• Asbestos Demolition Surveys
• Asbestos Sampling
• Asbestos Re-inspections.

• Willingness to work as part of a team in changing environmental situations.
• Undergoing in-house training towards professional BOHS Proficiency Module qualification in asbestos surveying (BOHS P402)
• National travel opportunities.
• Learning to log technical data.
• Adherence to accreditation requirements and aspects which underpin our Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental systems.
• Self-motivated learning in conjunction with support from your mentor.
• Any other reasonable duties as requested by members of the Quality team.

What knowledge and skills you possess:

• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
• Willing to work towards the BOHS P402 qualification or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Hands on experience of using IT equipment
• A full UK driving licence

The following experience would be beneficial but is not essential:

• Teams (Surveying Software)
• Floor Plan Creator
