Job Description

As Telecommunications Manager, you'll establish and uphold a uniform approach across all facets of your domain.

This includes managing staffing matters comprehensively, from recruitment and selection to maintaining personnel records, handling sickness absences, and identifying staff training needs.

By fostering fairness and consistency in supervision and disciplinary actions, you'll cultivate a positive work environment conducive to productivity and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the day to day running of the Helpdesk, Reception and Switchboard, ensuring sufficient staffing levels to provide and maintain an efficient, effective, high quality service

Ensure a consistent approach, across all areas of responsibility, in all staffing issues, including recruitment and selection, maintaining personnel files, sickness absence management and staff training need

Support in exercising responsibility for all Health and Safety issues within Switchboard, Helpdesk and Reception. Ensure all Risk Assessments are conducted, and appropriate Directorate and Departmental policies are in place

Promote an initiative-taking approach with staff and issues relating to Health and Safety, raising awareness, and conducting regular safety audits

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Experience in Helpdesk/Switchboard

Good general education

Management of high profile department

Maintaining of exacting standards within customer focussed industry

Managing of 24/7 operation

Excellent communication skills
