Technical Architect

Household name within broadcast and content distribution is looking for a talented Technical Architect. You will play a key role in shaping the tech landscape over the coming years, ensuring a scalable and secure platform environment. Hybrid working in Central London location.

Strictly Microsoft Tech Stack / Azure with a strong focus on API & Integration architecture.

Responsibilities:

Integration Architecture / APIs;

• Developing a robust API structure and culture to ensure the API and wider integration environment is robust, scalable and secure.
• Significant platform integration work. Architectural design to be delivered internally and via 3rd parties.
• Making use of Microsoft Azure services related to integration, such as Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, and Azure Event Grid.

Data;

• Continuous improvement, governance and architectural oversight of Azure Data Lake, to facilitate greater data analysis, reporting and decision-making.
• Designing and implementing an appropriate data governance framework and strategy to manage and maximise data within the business.

Security;

• Developing the security strategy, setting up secure practices, baking in strong security governance and controls, encryption and means of mitigating risk across all business process and applications.

Scalability and Innovation;

• You will be key in anticipating future developments and trends which may require a change in direction to ensure the business remains scalable and future ready, within a global setting.
• You will champion new ideas and initiatives, pilot emerging tech, and not be afraid to fail-fast and try again.

About you:

• TOGAF certification highly desirable.
• Degree educated in Computer Science or similar.
• Proven experience in a Technical Architect role (5 years +).
• Experience working within the Microsoft tech stack (Azure / .Net / SQL).
• A high level of experience within microservices, API management and integration. Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services related to integration, such as Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, and Azure Event Grid.
• A high level of experience within data governance.
• A high level of expertise in embedding strong security governance and controls across platform and application estate.
• A high degree of initiative and desire to take the lead.
• Strong communication skills; able to interact effectively with internal stakeholders, 3rd parties and the wider team.
