Role Overview:


As a Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Modern Networks, you will work with leading Property Management clients in Central London, focusing on large Commercial, Retail and Mixed-Use Estates.

You will act as the primary technical liaison between our clients, third-party contractors, and internal teams, ensuring that our IT services are effectively delivered and aligned with client goals.

This role requires a deep understanding of Building IT infrastructures, Project Management, and Client Relationship Management.


What you'll be doing:


  • Visiting client sites to assess and gather requirements for new services, installations and building projects, ensuring a clear understanding of the client’s needs.
  • Collaborating with clients to evaluate their current onsite IT infrastructure, identifying opportunities where Modern Networks’ solutions can enhance or manage their IT estate.
  • Work closely with third-party contractors to assess existing IT infrastructure at client properties.
  • Facilitating communications between clients and contractors, ensuring alignment on project goals, technical requirements, and timelines.
  • Provide clients with best practice recommendations for IT infrastructure, networking, and security solutions tailored to their specific needs.
  • Help design and propose IT solutions that align with client requirements and industry best practice.
  • Serve as the go-to technical resource for clients, addressing technical queries and assisting with unresolved support issues.
  • Develop comprehensive Statements of Work (SOW) and Bills of Materials (BOM) for projects.
  • Helping clients plan IT projects, coordinating with service providers such as Openreach and other telecom/network service providers.


What we're looking for:


  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role ( Technical Account Manager, IT Consultant), ideally within the commercial property or real estate sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, building systems integration, and project management. Familiarity with key technologies such as Microsoft 365, Azure, ISP, and Telecom services (e.g. OpenReach).
  • A proactive approach to understanding and fulfilling client needs with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage IT projects, with experience in coordinating between clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Certifications (e.g., ITIL, Prince2, Cisco, Microsoft) are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in creating SOW and BOM documents that are clear, detailed, and aligned with client needs.
