Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit for a Teaching Assistant to support KS3 students on a 1:1 basis with their reading for a Secondary School based in Urmston, starting in September 2024.  

This role will run until July 2025 (5 days a week, 8:30am – 3:00pm).

This is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to work alongside very welcoming and supportive staff, with great experience supporting a variety of students.

The role itself will involve helping teachers and supporting specific students who are struggling with the subject matter and would benefit from additional support.

A successful candidate would also be supporting in a variety of different subjects, so the ability to be flexible and adapt to helping with any subject would be extremely beneficial.

The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with a specific cohort of students and be a positive role model.

Additional requirements

-          Previous experience working with children or young adults

-          It is essential that applicants can be patient and are willing to build relationships with students who are disengaged with school life

-          Previous experience working with departments to identify pupils lacking confidence is desirable (as 1:1 and small group support will be required in this position)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.
