Are you a recent Psychology Graduate, who wants to apply your knowledge in an Educational setting to support the social and academic development of children?

Location: South Manchester Position: Psychology Graduate in Education Employment Type: Part and Full time hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm).

Cover People are looking to recruit Psychology Graduates interested in education psychology or teaching, to work within their Primary Schools as SEMH/SEN Teaching Assistants.

We encourage you to apply if you are confident and empathetic with a minimum of a 2:1 Psychology-related degree.

Experience with supporting SEMH or SEN children is desirable, but not essential.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide emotional and academic support in 1:1 and group settings, creating an inclusive environment.

Build positive and nurturing relationships with children.

Support the delivery of effective and engaging lessons.

Use psychological tools to help pupils to understand and regulate their emotions and behaviour.

Collaborate with teachers to implement individual education plans for pupils.

Candidate Requirements: A minimum of a 2:1 Psychology-related degree.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to form and maintain new relationships.

Have a DBS on the update service or are you willing to obtain one?

Desirable but not essential: Knowledge of different forms of SEN and the different needs of SEMH children.

Experience working with Primary School aged children.
