As a Teaching Assistant you will support access to learning for pupils and supporting the teacher with managing pupils and the classroom. Person Specification; GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 (previously Grace C) in English and Maths.First-aid training, or willingness to complete itHigher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)Experience working in a school environment or other educational settingsExperience planning and delivering learning activities.Enjoy of working with children As a teaching assistant you'll be expected to:Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachersUse ICT skills to advance pupils learningProvide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activitiesAssist class teachers with maintaining student recordsSupport students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skillsPromote, support and facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities.
