We are looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to support in our school in Burnley.

As a school our pupils with their families are our priority to ensure we are working in harmony to create a positive learning environment, we expect all our staff to share this ethos.

  • Full time, Monday to Friday.
  • Competitive rates £12.90- £15.
  • Temporary with a view to make the right candidate permanent.
  • Ofsted ‘good’ school.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience and relevant qualifications desired.
  • To start September 2024.
  • Have or able to obtain a child only DBS.
  • Happy to work 1:1 with SEN pupils.
  • Moving & Handling training desired.

The role:

  • Supporting in day-to-day tasks in the classroom.
  • Working with the class teacher to create harmonious atmosphere for the pupils.
  • Helping pupils in their learning, working 1 to 1 with pupils to provide booster sessions to achieve targets.
  • Recognise gaps in pupils learning and report back to relevant class teacher.

The school is easily accessible by both car and public transport. We are happy for the right candidate to commute if they are happy with the distance however you must ensure you time keep accordingly.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
