SThree are delighted to announce that we're hiring for a Tax Manager to join our Tax & Treasury team on a part-time basis here at SThree!

The main focus of this role is to provide excellent service managing tax compliance for a portfolio of companies across the global group; giving tax advice to wider businesses and engaging with external advisers, auditors and tax authorities being a great ambassador for SThree.

What are the day-to-day tasks?

  • Manage country corporate tax obligations, including filing and payments.
  • Analyse data and assess tax implications.
  • Use internal tax software and accounting systems.
  • Forecast tax charges and payments.
  • Manage VAT reporting, including filing and payments.
  • Assess changing landscape on digital reporting.
  • Advise business on ad hoc requests.
  • Undertake treaty applications.
  • Advise on cross-border transactions.
  • Engage with other teams such as Legal & Accounting.
  • Compare and contrast country tax systems to ensure consistency where relevant.
  • Agree budgets and scope of work.
  • Manage working relationships with external tax advisors.
  • What skills and knowledge are we looking for?

  • UK corporate tax compliance background necessary
  • Tax accounting & disclosure notes necessary
  • 2-3 years accountancy practice, specialising in corporate tax, and/or
  • 2-3 years in-house in a corporate tax department
  • Knowledge of UK Tax Legislation
  • Accounting standards (IFRS) desirable
