The Vacancy

Due to ongoing team growth and internal progression, we have a brilliant new opportunity, looking for a Sustainability Specialist to join our team. 


You will be assisting the team by looking at how to improve both the social and environmental sustainability of the whole of WCHG. 


This role will have several key components, including but not limited to;

Continuous Improvement: monitor and evaluate the social and environmental impact of our activities


Procurement: support the procurement team to get best value from our supply chain by embedding social and environmental impact measurement


Sustainability strategies: facilitate the creation and implementation of our social and environmental sustainability strategies


Environmental management: help us focus on minimizing our environmental impact - amongst many other strands. 


In order to undertake this role, you will need the following key skills knowledge & experiences; 
 

• Knowledge of sustainability issues and how they relate to businesses

• Understanding of how businesses can positively impact the communities they serve

• Experience of analysing data, tracking progress toward goals, and identifying areas for improvement

• Ability to build relationships with colleagues and to offer and gain support for new ideas that meet our strategic objectives
