Support Worker

Salary: £25,702 per annum

Hours : Full time only - 37.5 hours per week, which is 7.5 hours a day, assigned 5 shifts between Monday to Sunday

About the role

As a Support Worker, you will work directly with people in their homes and in the community. You will be expected to support people with a variety of needs, enabling them to live the lives they want.

Duties will include:

- Building great relationships with people you support and the people important to their lives

- Promoting choice and participation when supporting people with daily tasks

- Co-creating opportunities for people to try new things and offering information to support people to make their own choices

- Offering personalised support by working with people’s strengths to build their confidence and overcome obstacles with the aim of achieving their goals

- Encouraging people to participate in activities that bring them joy and meaning

To be a Support Worker, it is essential you:

- Can motivate others and build their confidence to try new things, meet new people and achieve what they want to achieve

- Can use a range of standard and non-standard technology, such as the internet, emails, databases, Microsoft Office applications, a smart phone / tablet

You will be given training, development and coaching to help you feel confident in providing great support and to help you advance in your career.
