Support WorkerDaisy Nook Recruitment is proud to be working alongside a privately run residential home for children (6-18 years old), with homes based in Cambridge, Ipswich and Warwickshire. The home is for children with learning disabilities. Our client is looking for Support Workers for their home in Studley, Warwickshire. This is a great career opportunity, joining a growing service right at a pivotal point.The salary is between £12 - £12.25 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications. The hours are 42 per week, over 7 days a week, late shift 13:30 to 9pm, or long days 7am-9pm. At least one full weekend off a month.Duties and Responsibilities of the Support Worker * To work with children and young people according to the individuals needs, providing focussed work as planned and directed. * To assist in the co-ordination of activities within the Unit and ensure that they are well managed and produce safe and consistent care. * To be involved in and organise activities which are in the best interests and meet the needs of those looked after. * Training & Development. * Administration and report writing. * Ensure security of the House, including contents, confidential records, cash, keys, furniture and equipment, residents’ clothing and possessions. * To assist the Manager in attending to the health of the children, arranging medical and dental examinations, and maintaining high standards of hygiene within the home. * Participate in training courses as arranged and undertake professional training if the opportunity is offered though secondment. * Observe confidentiality at all times in relation to the Home and its residents, recognising the vulnerability of the residents.Must have: * Knowledge of child care legislation & regulations Human growth and development * Assessment & care planning process Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Fire Regulations * Basis understanding of Children's RightsDesirable but not essential: * Qualified to NVQ Level 3If you have the right skills and experience please submit your CV.PLEASE NOTE: ***** SPONSORSHIP IS NOT OFFERED
