We are recruiting for a Support Worker to provide high-quality support and positive outcomes for young people in the care service including unaccompanied asylum-seeking young people. The ideal candidate would have previous experience working in a similar setting. We offer specialist support, care, advice and guidance tailored to each young person's needs to support them in their transition into adulthood and independent living. The role is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to the Support Team Manager, the candidate will be working as part of team of support workers responsible for the below but not limited to: Provide support and guidance to young people living independently in their homes. Assist in developing young people's independent living skills. Promote and encourage positive life choices in such as social activities, budgeting and education. Update and ensure progress is made with care plans accordingly. To liaise with social services and other professionals in terms of specific and general service delivery, support, accommodation etc, and to respond to any complaints/issues they have in a timely manner. Participate in service developments including planning, control, monitoring, review and evaluation activities to ensure continuous improvements in service delivery.Requirements for the Role NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care and/or equivalent, or willing to work towards one within a set timeframe.
