Wood is currently recruiting for a Structural Engineer for a 12 month Fixed Term Staff Role to join our locally based Repair Order team. Hybrid working with occasional visits offshore ,
Undertake role of Originator or Checker, of Repair Order deliverables, including calculations, reports, specifications and drawings, ensuring compliance with Client procedures, structural specifications as well as applicable code requirements and national / international standards
Undertake all work in accordance with quality assurance system, with focus on Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE)
Undertake offshore visits to support detail design.
Create / review construction work packs.
Create / review fabrication requisitions.
Liaise with fabricators to overcome any issues identified with the design.
Respond to Technical Queries (TQs) raised by the offshore construction teams.
Coordinates and manages third parties engaged to develop structural Repair Order design deliverables.
Experience in an engineering design contractor environment.
Experience of the management of vendor services contracts.
