Role description:

We are excited to be growing our Structural Engineering team within the Places Design Practice. We are looking for a Structural Engineer with experience working on buildings projects to join us delivering both national and international projects for our clients. The projects are varied and span the industrial manufacturing, technology, education, government and defence sectors.

In Engineering, you'll create some of the world’s most iconic and ground-breaking structures and spaces that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening up public places that bring people together.

Whether new homes, shops, workplaces, schools and hospitals, manufacturing, research and development facilities, or data and distribution centers. People and communities thrive when the spaces in which they live, work, move and play are designed and managed in a way that best meets their needs.

Role accountabilities:

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the design of structural elements on a range of projects, including EV manufacturing facilities and data centres. You will have the opportunity to undertake and manage the design of smaller projects and will work as part of a team on the design of larger projects.

You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and contribute to checking the work of other team members.

Qualifications & Experience:

First and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life. You pride yourself for the part you play in transforming the world around you and understand the importance of teamwork. You are a technically capable with experience in designing structural elements of buildings projects and come to us with:

A relevant degree.
Evidence you are working towards chartership.
A strong technical ability.
Familiarity with commonly used analysis software.
